ASK is not a crisis service. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. ASK is open only during routine business hours (Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM). MOVA will respond to electronic messages within 24 hours of a regular business day. Or you may use the MOVA Find Help Near You to locate a Massachusetts-based crisis counseling service.

If you are experiencing difficulty in the wake of a crime or are feeling overwhelmed it may help to find specialized crime-related resources. It is normal for crime victims to confront many new and urgent needs in the hours, weeks, and even months after a crime.

SafeLink is the Massachusetts statewide 24/7 toll-free domestic violence hotline. SafeLink’s state-of-the-art technology allows the advocate answering your call to keep you on the line while you are being connected to a shelter program in your area. Callers who are in danger get help with a single call. It is okay to call SafeLink if you just need to talk about your situation – you do not need to be looking for a shelter space.
